Things to Do

The Presidio

The Presidio, once an active military base, is now one of America's most visited National Parks. Anthony and Bridget will celebrate their wedding at one of the many breathtaking spots within the park; however, there is much to do and see within the boundaries of the Presidio!

  • Colibri Mexican Bistro - Great Mexican spot, stop for an al pastor taco and a margarita while exploring the Presidio
  • Walt Disney Family Museum - Block off a few hours to learn about the history of Walt Disney with fun and interactive exhibits and galleries
  • Crissy Field - Large green space, great for city views and people watching
  • Tunnel Tops Park - Enjoy the view of the Golden Gate, check out the Visitors Center to learn the history of the Presidio, and stop by one of the many yummy food trucks

North Beach

North Beach remains a favorite neighborhood of both Anthony and Bridget. The bustling Italian neighborhood is home to many of their favorite restaurants, cocktail bars, and gelato shops!

  • Original Joe’s - Classic Italian, a Ledda family staple
  • Tony's Pizza Napoletana - Best spot in the city for a slice
  • Barbara Pinseria & Cocktail Bar - Anthony and Bridget's favorite spot to bring out of town visitors, enjoy a fresh pasta or pizza and a delicious cocktail
  • Caffe Greco - Incredible espresso AND gelato, or get the best of both worlds and enjoy an affogato

Fisherman's Wharf

Perhaps the most iconic area of San Francisco...cable cars, views of the Golden Gate bridge, and tourists aplenty, this is a must-see for any friends or family visiting the nearly-weds.

  • The Buena Vista - Famous for creating the traditional Irish coffee
  • Ghirardelli Square - Head up into Ghirardelli for live music by the fountain, great restaurants, and grab a classic Ghirardelli brownie sundae (one of Anthony's favs!)
  • Pier 39 - Take a walk down SF's most iconic pier and hang out with the sea lions
  • San Francisco Bay Boat Cruise - Catch a bay cruise and relax with a drink as you take in the unique sights of the SF Bay
  • Boudin Bakery - The most quintessential San Francisco sourdough...if you get the clam chowder, you must get it in a bread bowl

SoMa

SoMa (South of Market St.) is a must do for a sunny Saturday morning spent in the city.

  • Ferry Building - An incredible array of food/wine/cheese/olive oil/coffee shops, etc...the list goes on! Bridget highly recommends the empanadas at El Porteño, don't forget the chimichurri! The Farmers Market is hosted at the Ferry Building on Saturdays, don't miss it
  • Philz - The most unique coffee shop, started in SF's Mission District in the early 2000's...Bridget loves an iced ecstatic, Anthony prefers an iced mocha tesora
  • SF Giants game - If the Giants are in town during the wedding weekend, Anthony and Bridget highly recommend trying to catch a game at the iconic Oracle Park, don't skip the Gilroy garlic fries
  • Yank Sing - Great spot for some classic dim sum, try to stop at either of their downtown locations

Sausalito

Sausalito is a hidden gem within the Bay Area. A short ferry ride or a drive across the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito is a sleepy town filled with great restaurants and window shopping.

  • Hanson Tasting Room - Enjoy a vodka tasting paired with a unique cocktail on the second floor of the Hanson Art Gallery (not for the faint of heart, it is small batch vodka distilled from grapes)
  • Lappert's Ice Cream - Needs no explanation, great ice cream
  • Battery Spencer Trail - A short, paved half mile walk that gives you the most incredible views of the Golden Gate and SF
  • Dunphy Park - For any of Bridget's Canadian family, check out Dunphy Park located along the water in Sausalito...we're famous!
